New Orange Alert for High Temperatures in Effect

A new orange alert for high temperatures is in effect from noon, with temperatures expected to reach 44 degrees Celsius in the interior of the country.

The Meteorological Service's warning is valid from 11:00 to 17:00. The maximum temperature is expected to reach around 44 degrees Celsius in the interior and around 34 degrees Celsius in the higher mountains.

Winds will blow mainly southwest to northwest, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and later locally on the windward coasts up to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort.
