A power outage occurred in the occupied territories in the early morning hours due to an explosion at the transformer center in Nikitas, Morphou. According to sources from the “electricity authority,” the problematic section was disconnected, and the power plants were restarted, with power being gradually restored.

The “Director of the Cyprus-Turkish Electricity Authority” told Yeni Duzen that a new fault had occurred, delaying the complete restoration. He stated that power would be restored soon “if nothing goes wrong,” as a new malfunction took the power plant offline.
