Power Cuts Across Cyprus – Duration Announced

Rolling power cuts continue today due to increased electricity demand and extreme temperatures.

The cuts began after 18:30 and are being implemented in various areas, with a maximum duration of approximately half an hour per cycle, until a balance between production and consumption is achieved.

Interruptions have occurred in areas of Nicosia such as Latsia and will continue until stability is fully restored to the network.

DMSK has appealed for electricity conservation and assures that the cuts are made with a view to the safe operation of the system.
