NIMA: Support for 65 Victims of Sexual Abuse in Cyprus

The NIMA Support and Therapy Center has provided assistance to 65 individuals who experienced sexual abuse or exploitation in their childhood, as announced at a press conference by the Cyprus Family Planning Association.
The Minister of Health, Michalis Damianos, welcomed the initiative, emphasizing its importance for the rehabilitation and treatment of victims. The Ministry supports the center through the De Minimis State Aid Scheme.
NIMA provides psychological, social, legal, and medical support, as well as personalized treatment plans. It also implements information and education activities for the prevention of incidents. According to the Family Planning Association, NIMA is the first and only specialized structure in Cyprus that provides free support to adults who have suffered sexual abuse in their childhood.
