President Welcomes Certification of EKPA Programs in Cyprus

The President of the Republic has welcomed the certification of the programs of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA) for operating a branch in Cyprus.

The President emphasized that this development strengthens the Government's strategy to internationalize education, making Cyprus a regional academic center. According to the President, this will have significant benefits for society, the economy, and the country's international image.

"Cooperation with international Universities and Research Centers strengthens Cyprus' position," he noted, adding that the foundations are being laid for the establishment of a new institutional framework that will facilitate the establishment of other international academic and Research Institutions in Cyprus.

Furthermore, the President stated that the Government continues to strengthen the academic and research field of Cyprus, creating the necessary conditions for the development of a dynamic academic community.

Finally, he expressed his gratitude to the Rector and the Rectorate Authorities of EKPA.
