Total Lunar Eclipse: The 'Blood Moon' in the Cypriot Sky

The sky offered a spectacular sight with the 'blood moon'. The total lunar eclipse, also known as the 'bloody moon', was visible from Cyprus.

A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth passes between the Sun and the Moon, casting a shadow on its surface. During a total eclipse, the Moon takes on a deep red or copper color.

The total duration of the eclipse was five hours and 27 minutes, with the total phase lasting approximately one hour and 21 minutes. The maximum of the eclipse occurred at 21:12.
