Damage Assessment from Fire to be Completed Tomorrow

The assessment of damages to approximately one hundred homes completely destroyed by the recent fire, as well as another 300 that have sustained partial damage, is expected to be completed by tomorrow, according to statements by the president of ETEK, Konstantinos Kostanti, on 'Proino Dromologio'.
Mr. Kostanti stated that the overall assessment process for all affected homes and properties is expected to be completed within a few weeks. Fifteen ETEK teams, consisting of architects, civil engineers, and quantity surveyors, are working voluntarily to ensure accurate damage assessment.
ETEK will submit the restoration estimates for the homes to their previous condition to the competent Ministry, which will contact the owners for the payment of compensation, if an agreement is reached.
Referring to the environmental disaster, Mr. Kostanti said that ETEK intends to cooperate with the State to implement a national plan for the restoration of the burned areas, with scientific documentation and priority given to sustainability.
