Water Supply Returning to Normal in Fire-Affected Areas of Limassol

The water supply network in mountainous Limassol is returning to normal after the devastating fires. The President of EOA Limassol, Giannis Tsouloftas, and the District Engineer of TAY, Dimitris Andronikou, stated that any problems that arise are being addressed.
Water supply to the affected communities has been restored since Friday. However, excessive consumption for cleaning is causing delays in some areas. Pressure fluctuations are also causing damage.
EOA Limassol has sent generators to communities supplied by boreholes and pipes to replace those burned. It also provided water meters to replace damaged ones.
Dimitris Andronikou stated that increased consumption is delaying the full restoration of the water supply. Personnel from TAY and EOA Limassol are working to restore the system.
