Paphos: 79-year-old in ICU after falling from golf cart

A 79-year-old woman is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit of Paphos General Hospital after falling from a golf cart.

The accident occurred yesterday afternoon when the woman, a passenger in a golf cart driven by a 20-year-old on a private road of a golf course in the Paphos district, fell from the vehicle under circumstances being investigated.

The woman was taken to the hospital by ambulance, where she was found to have hemorrhages and hematomas in the brain. Her condition is considered serious but stable. Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
