In Paphos, a foreign man was rescued from a reed bed in the Chloraka area after calling the emergency number 112. The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon when the man called for help, reporting that he was stuck in dense vegetation and unable to move due to a health problem.

According to Sigma correspondent Marios Ignatiou, the man initially indicated the coastal area of Geroskipou but could not provide precise information. Paphos ADE patrol cars began searching along the coastline.

After a new phone call and a description of the environment, the Police estimated that he was at Vrexi beach. Assistant Police Director of Paphos, Michalis Nikolaou, stated that the man was found exhausted and trapped around 21:20.

The man, a 61-year-old foreign visitor to Cyprus, was taken to Paphos General Hospital, where he received first aid before being discharged.
