Paphos: Water Supply Secured Regardless of Weather Conditions

The water supply in the Paphos district is secured regardless of weather conditions, assured the Director-General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Andreas Grigoriou. Desalination units ensure water sufficiency until 2026.
Mr. Grigoriou, on the sidelines of the 5th Panagia Vintage Festival, stressed that the goal is to avoid water cuts. "We are in the final stage, it seems that we will manage to avoid cuts even though we are at the beginning of the new hydrological year," he said, while expressing hope for more rain this year.
The president of EOA Paphos, Charalambos Pittokopitis, confirmed that, through coordination with local authorities and the Water Development Department, the management of the water supply is sufficient, without the need for cuts to consumers. The desalination units in Potima and Kouklia significantly enhance the water supply.
