Paphos: Over 6,500 Counterfeit Products Seized

Over 6,500 counterfeit items of clothing, accessories, and other products were seized in the Paphos district, following a coordinated operation by the Police and the Customs Department.

The operation took place in six stores in Paphos, between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., by the Intellectual Property Theft and Illegal Betting Crime Combating Unit, of the Cybercrime Sub-Directorate, of the Police Headquarters, in cooperation with the Customs Department.

A total of 6,624 items were confiscated, including clothing, hats, bags, wallets, belts, sunglasses, and mobile phone cases. The Customs Department is continuing its investigations.

The operation is part of a European program to combat the illegal trafficking of goods that violate intellectual property rights.
