Paphos: Popular Market Nears Completion

Paphos is preparing to reopen its Popular Market, ending a decade-long period without this service. The Acting Mayor of Paphos, Angelos Onisiforou, announced that the market is essentially complete and will begin operating soon.

The new market is located within the Pervola Municipal Parking Area, in the redeveloped commercial center of Paphos, and covers 500 sq.m. It will allow consumers to buy fresh products directly from producers at better prices.

Mr. Onisiforou stressed that the reopening of the market was a request of both residents and tourists. In addition, it will benefit producers by boosting their income and reducing the role of intermediaries.
