Paphos: Maintenance Issues Found in All Inspected Buses

A report by an expert revealed serious bus maintenance issues in Paphos following vehicle fires. According to the Head of Public Passenger Transport, Mr. Andreas Nikiforou, 14 buses have been inspected, and inspections on 50 more are expected within two weeks.

As Mr. Nikiforou stated on the show "Ενημέρωση Τώρα", inspections were extended to Larnaca, Famagusta and Paphos. The expert report highlighted the need for immediate repairs of all failures before the buses return to circulation.

Sample inspections in other provinces, except for Paphos where all buses were inspected, confirmed poor maintenance issues in all inspected vehicles. The Minister of Transport, Alexis Vafeadis, stated that the vehicle owner is responsible for maintenance, and more experts are expected in Cyprus.
