Over 5500 Students at the University of Cyprus

Approximately 5,500 undergraduate students, including 1,350 freshmen, are enrolled at the University of Cyprus, according to statements by the Deputy Head of the Department of Academic Affairs and Student Welfare, Kleanthis Pissaridis, to the Cyprus News Agency (CYPE).
Additionally, the number of postgraduate students ranges between 1,500 and 2,000. The new academic year has started smoothly, with classes running as normal. Student dormitories are at 100% occupancy, with 208 rooms filled.
Mr. Pissaridis also mentioned the inauguration of new buildings, including the new Faculty of Engineering, which are ready to welcome students. He emphasized that the University of Cyprus provides students with the necessary tools for their professional and personal careers.
Regarding accommodation, students secure their own housing, while the university provides financial assistance to students who meet specific socioeconomic criteria. Mr. Pissaridis urged students to take advantage of the opportunities offered to them during their studies.
