Patras: Peletidis-Kefalogiannis Clash Over Fires

The Municipality of Patras responded to statements made by the Minister of Civil Protection, Giannis Kefalogiannis, regarding the recent fires in the area. In a statement, the Municipality of Patras, led by Mayor Kostas Peletidis, accused the government of inadequate planning and resources to deal with the fires, claiming that it is trying to shift responsibilities.

The Municipality of Patras argued that the Municipality's employees fought to save the operation of the landfill and the city, while denouncing the lack of reinforcement of firefighting resources.
