The pilot implementation of the 'tourist police' has started in a coastal area of occupied Trikomo. Men and women of the team patrol on foot or by bicycle, wearing light blue shirts and dark blue shorts.

According to an announcement by the 'General Police Directorate,' the 'tourist police' will patrol the beach and the coastal pedestrian street of Trikomo between May and September, ensuring 'public order' and providing first aid.

'Tourist police officers,' proficient in foreign languages and first aid, will patrol between the hotel on Mackenzie Beach and the amusement park. They will be stationed at a mobile 'police station' and will patrol from 14:00-23:00 on weekdays and 10:00-24:00 on weekends and holidays.

Their duties include crime prevention, initial response to traffic and 'legal' incidents, identity checks, verification of the 'legal status' of foreigners, traffic accident assessments, removal of individuals causing disturbance, and provision of first aid.
