Water Supply Fully Restored in Fire-Affected Communities – Plans for Flood Control Projects

The Water Development Department (WDD) has announced the complete restoration of water supply to all fire-affected communities. Plans have also commenced for the implementation of flood control projects in the affected areas.

According to the announcement, WDD crews remain in the areas daily to address any new problems that may arise. The on-map identification of intervention points for flood control projects has been completed, following intensive on-site monitoring.

Tenders have been announced for the procurement of necessary materials so that work can begin immediately. In addition, from August 1st, a plan for 100% financing of generators in fire-affected communities and 80% for other communities is being implemented.
