Porto Rafti: 91-year-old woman drowns at sea

A 91-year-old woman, Mrs. Eirini, lost her life on a beach in Porto Rafti on Sunday, August 31st. According to reports, the woman was swimming when the weather suddenly changed.

The sudden deterioration of the weather caused panic to the elderly woman, causing her to be unable to cope with the waves and return to shore.

She was pulled unconscious from the water and taken to Asklipieio Voulas, where she was pronounced dead.

A neighbor of the deceased stated that the unfortunate woman had faced similar incidents in the past.

A lifeguard from a nearby beach rushed to provide first aid, but unfortunately was unable to revive her.
