Unsafe Products Found in Cyprus and EU Markets

The Consumer Protection Service, Pharmaceutical Services, and the Department of Labor Inspection are alerting the public about products deemed unsafe and registered in the European Rapid Alert System for Dangerous Non-Food Products.
The products were found in various EU member states and in Cyprus. Specifically, 13 products fall under the Consumer Protection Service, 21 under Pharmaceutical Services, 15 under the Department of Road Transport, 15 under the Department of Labor Inspection, 13 under the Department of Electromechanical Services, and 4 under Health Services.
The Consumer Protection Service (ΥΠΚ) has initiated intensive market checks to identify these products and urges importers, distributors, and sellers to immediately cease their distribution. Consumers who possess these products are advised to stop using them and return them to the store where they were purchased.
In the event of purchasing a non-compliant product, the consumer is entitled to replacement or withdrawal, according to the Law on Certain Aspects concerning Contracts for the Sale of Goods of 2021.
Consumers are encouraged to submit their complaints in writing on the ΥΠΚ website if sellers refuse to honor their rights.
