Warning: Risk of Snake Bites in Cyprus

The Civil Defence is urging citizens to be extra careful when venturing into nature due to the presence of venomous snakes in Cyprus.

In a statement, the Civil Defence emphasizes the need for vigilance, especially in areas with dense vegetation, where there are three types of venomous snakes, one of which is particularly dangerous to humans.

The appeal follows the rescue of a citizen who was hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit of Limassol Hospital after a snake bite and heatstroke.
