Drivers Beware: Numerous Vehicle Brands on Safety Risk List

The Department of Road Transport (ΤΟΜ) has issued a warning regarding new notifications of dangerous products on Safety Gate, the European rapid alert system for non-food products. The announcement was made during the 38th week of 2025.

The list includes passenger cars, motorcycles, and trucks from well-known brands such as VW, Honda, Renault Trucks, Ferrari, DS Automobiles, Citroen, Peugeot, Opel, Toyota, Lexus, Aston Martin, BMW, Kubota, and Nissan. The dangerous products are found in batches and manufacturing periods from 2019 to 2025.

The TOM calls on manufacturers, dealers, and importers to inform the service and proceed with the recall of vehicles. Consumers who own the affected vehicles are encouraged to contact the manufacturer or distributor. Complaints can be submitted to the Consumer Protection Service.
