Akrotiri Students Temporarily Relocated to Kolossi

Students from Akrotiri Primary School and Akrotiri Kindergarten are being temporarily relocated to Kolossi starting tomorrow, Tuesday, following a decision by the Ministry of Education. Specifically, primary school students will be transferred to the 2nd Primary School of Kolossi, while kindergarten children will be accommodated at the SKE Kolossi.

The Mayor of Kourion, Pantelis Georgiou, stated that efforts to find buses for transporting the children were not immediately successful, causing problems for working parents. Efforts are ongoing.

The President of the Parents' Association of Akrotiri Primary School, Polina Argyrou, stated that parents have temporarily arranged for the transportation of children, while awaiting a solution for permanent transportation by buses. She welcomed the decision of the Ministry of Education, but expressed concerns about the separation of some classes.

The Parents' Association and the inspector will oversee the implementation of the relocation in Kolossi.
