House Fire in Strovolos, Children in Hospital

A fire broke out in a house in Strovolos, Nicosia, resulting in two children being taken to the hospital as a precaution due to smoke inhalation.

According to the Fire Department, the fire started around 12:30 in a room-kitchen of a two-story house. The kitchen suffered extensive damage, as did the paintwork of the entire building.

The occupants had left the house before the arrival of the Fire Department. Two young children were transferred to the A&E Department of the Nicosia hospital due to smoke inhalation.

The fire appears to have been caused by an electrical problem in an electrical appliance.
