Fire at Apartment Building Parking Entrance in Limassol

A fire caused damage to an apartment building in Limassol on Thursday afternoon. The fire started in furnishings at the entrance to an underground parking area.

According to Fire Service spokesperson Andreas Kettis, the Fire Service responded to extinguish the fire at 14:00 on August 14. Three fire engines from Limassol fire stations responded to the fire, which broke out on carpets, garden furniture, pots, and planters located on an apartment building ramp.

The carpets and garden furniture suffered extensive damage, and the exterior of the apartment building was also damaged. Water hoses and breathing apparatus were used to extinguish the fire. The causes of the fire are under investigation.

The Fire Service responded to 42 incidents in the last 24 hours, including 21 fires and 21 special services.
