Fire in Kouklia: Immediate Response with Helicopters

A fire broke out in the Cha-Potami area of Kouklia, mobilizing the Paphos Fire Department. Four fire trucks rushed to the scene.

According to Fire Department spokesperson Andreas Kettis, the fire consumed dry grass, stubble, cypresses, and crops north and south of the Limassol-Paphos highway.

Two vehicles from the Department of Forests and a K.M.P from the Game Service assisted in the extinguishing efforts, while water drops were carried out by two firefighting helicopters.

The fire was brought under control, having burned approximately one hectare. The causes of the fire are being investigated in cooperation with the Police.
