Fire in Limassol Mountain Area: Six Vehicles Involved in Extinguishing Efforts

A fire broke out on Sunday morning (08/03) between the communities of Omodos and Mandria in the Limassol mountain area. Four fire trucks from the Fire Department and two vehicles from the Department of Forests responded to extinguish the blaze.

According to Fire Department Spokesperson Andreas Kettis, the fire started in wild vegetation. The fire has been contained, and firefighters are carrying out the final extinguishing operations, despite strong winds in the area.

The causes of the fire are being investigated by the Fire Department in cooperation with the Police.
