Fire in Dymes, Limassol: Caused by Grinder

A fire broke out in the community of Dymes, in the Limassol District, on Tuesday, attributed to human factor. According to the Department of Forests, the fire started from the use of a power tool (grinder) at 13:25 and was brought under control at 14:45.
The fire burned six decares of pine trees, almond trees, and low wild vegetation. 35 people from the Department of Forests with six fire trucks, one tanker, as well as 12 people from the Fire Service with four fire trucks participated in the extinguishing operation. In addition, four leased aircraft of the Air Firefighting Squadron operated from the air.
