Fire in Dymes, Limassol Quickly Brought Under Control

A fire broke out in the community of Dymes in the Limassol district, but was quickly brought under control thanks to the immediate mobilization of firefighting forces.

According to an announcement by the Department of Forests, the fire broke out at 13:25 and was fully controlled at 14:45. The fire burned 6 decares covered with pine trees, almond trees, and low vegetation.

35 people from the Department of Forests with 6 vehicles, 12 people from the Fire Service with 4 vehicles, as well as 4 aircraft participated in the extinguishing operation.

The fire was caused by work with an emery (smirgilio).
