Fire in Omodos, Cyprus: Under Control with Aerial Support

A fire broke out in Omodos, prompting a response from the Fire Service, the Department of Forests, and Civil Defense. According to the Fire Service, the situation is significantly improved and heading towards complete control, as stated by Andreas Kettis.
The main road Omodos - Pachna is closed. Eight fire trucks from the Fire Service and five from the Department of Forests are operating at the scene, along with five aircraft. The Game and Wildlife Service, Civil Defense, volunteer groups, and the District Administration are also present.
Firefighting forces are focused on protecting residences on the edge of Omodos.
