Fire Services on Alert in Limassol for Potential Revivals

Strong firefighting forces remain on alert in the Limassol province to deal with potential revivals after the deadly fire. Although there are no active fronts, the risk of rekindling is particularly high.
According to the Coordination Center in Limassol, firefighting forces dealt with several revivals overnight, which were extinguished promptly.
The Deputy District Officer of Limassol, Elektra Panagiotou, stated that the District Administration crews will continue the damage assessment. As of yesterday afternoon, 191 residences were reported, of which 93 were completely burned in 15 villages. Additionally, 120 vehicles were burned, and 31 caravans, warehouses, properties, and a restaurant were damaged.
The greatest damage was recorded in the communities of Souni - Zanatzia, Agios Therapontas, Lofou, and Vouni.
Members of the MMAD and the Limassol Police are patrolling the fire-stricken areas due to reports of thefts, mainly in the area of Souni - Zanatzia.
