Rhodes: Luna Park Shut Down After Accident

A shocking accident occurred at a luna park in Kremasti, Rhodes, when four young people were thrown from the "tray" ride due to a broken safety railing.

The municipality has suspended the operation of the luna park until the risk is eliminated and new technical inspection documents and certificates are submitted for the machines. The owner and manager were arrested.

According to ERT, the luna park reportedly had the necessary certifications and permits from the municipality. Following the accident, the Municipality of Rhodes suspended the operation of the specific machine and issued a relevant decision.

One of the young people was slightly injured. His father told ERT that "the children were very lucky" and will not take legal action.
