Romanian man injured on sailboat in Skopelos, transferred to Volos

A 50-year-old Romanian man was injured on a sailboat in the sea area of Limnonari Bay, Skopelos.

The sailboat arrived at the port of Agnontas in Skopelos, where the foreign national, who had an injury to his hand, was picked up by an EKAV ambulance and taken to the Skopelos Health Center for first aid.

Subsequently, the 50-year-old was transferred by a Coast Guard patrol boat to the port of Volos and from there by an EKAV ambulance to the General Hospital of Volos Achillopouleio for further medical care.

A preliminary investigation is being conducted by the 1st Coast Guard Department of Skopelos of the Skiathos Port Authority.
