Russian Embassy Expresses Grief Over Employee Death in Cyprus

The Russian Embassy in Cyprus has expressed its grief over the death of employee A.V. Panov, who was found dead in his office on January 8, 2026.
In a statement, the Embassy said that his death is a "deep personal tragedy" and that efforts are being made to repatriate his body.
The autopsy revealed that the death was due to hanging. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the competent security services of the Republic of Cyprus are monitoring the case closely.
