Gradual Restoration of Water and Electricity Supply to Affected Communities

The process of restoring the water supply is well underway, while more time will be needed for the electricity supply.

The Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) is fully mobilized, with the supply restored to most of the core areas in the affected communities.

In Agios Georgios Syllikou, Alassa, Kissousa, Mallia, Omodos, Potamiou, Ypsonas and Sotira, the electricity supply has been fully restored, either by connecting to the grid or with the assistance of a generator.

The supply is now almost complete in Monagri, Koilani, Vouni and Kivides.

In Souni-Zanatzia, the electricity supply has been restored to 80%, while the communities of Agios Therapon, Vasa Koilaniou, Lofou and Arsos are at 70%, and Agios Ambrosios at 66%.

The EAC's Press Officer, Christina Papadopoulou, reiterated that the goal is to restore the supply to every home, safely, as soon as possible.
