Support for 444 Families in Fire-Affected Areas, says Evaggelou

The Deputy Minister of Social Welfare, Marilena Evaggelou, announced that support has been provided to 444 families in the fire-affected areas. Specifically, 255 families received support and guidance, while 189 families received financial support for emergency needs.
The announcement was made during a meeting with the community leaders of the fire-affected areas in Pachna. Ms. Evaggelou emphasized the importance of cooperation with local authorities for a more effective response to the needs of those affected.
The Commissioner for the Development of Mountainous Areas, Charalambos Christofinas, stated that the priority is the creation of social infrastructure in the communities. There are plans to create two new SCEs (Community Volunteer Councils) in the fire-affected areas, at a cost of approximately half a million euros each.
The expansion of the nursery school in Pachna and the creation of new nursery schools were also mentioned.
