Firefighter's emotional post from Limassol: 'Today I knelt and cried…'

A forest firefighter's post, Spyros Panagis, about the battle with the flames in the Limassol province is deeply moving.
The firefighter wrote: 'I have been working in the Department of Forests as a Forest Firefighter since 2004. I have been to all the fires that my country has had until today. I have even lost colleagues from the fires in Solia in 2016. I have successfully graduated from the most difficult training in the army in the Underwater Demolition Unit where I have surpassed myself and I am not saying it to brag. I went to the deadly fires in Greece in the Peloponnese in 2007, I worked for 7 days. But I never broke down or knelt. BUT TODAY I KNEELED AND CRIED AND I AM NOT ASHAMED TO SAY IT'.
