Damage Assessment Continues in Limassol Mountain Region

Approximately 20 teams are continuing to assess the damage caused in the Limassol mountain region by the recent devastating fire, according to statements made to ΚΥΠΕ by the Deputy District Officer of Limassol, Ηλέκτρα Παναγιώτου. The aim is to complete the assessment by Tuesday.
So far, damage has been recorded in 15 communities, affecting 238 residences and 124 vehicles. The most significant damage is reported in Souni (100 residences), Agios Therapon (36 residences), Lofou (27 residences), Vouni (23 residences), and Vasa Koilaniou (13 residences).
Ηλέκτρα Παναγιώτου urged those who have not yet reported their damages to contact the District Administration immediately. She clarified that the figures recorded so far correspond to the reports received by the District Administration.
Following the completion of the assessment, the damages will be evaluated in cooperation with the Technical Services of the Ministry of Interior.
