Damage Assessment Continues in Fire-Affected Areas

Damage assessment continues in the fire-affected areas, according to statements made to CYBC by the Commissioner for the Development of Mountain Regions, Charalambos Christofinas. Mr. Christofinas stated that the final assessment with timelines for the restoration of the areas will be available by tomorrow.

Issues concerning the EAC are progressing, and water supply issues have been resolved. Yesterday, compensation was paid to farmers for lost income for one year. The Department of Agriculture continues to record any others who have not been registered.

Experts from America are expected in Cyprus and will visit the Communities to conduct on-site assessments, added Mr. Christofinas.
