Greek Cypriot Continues to be Detained in Occupied Territories

The Government is taking action for the release of a Greek Cypriot who has been detained in the occupied territories since Tuesday. According to a competent government source, actions are being taken through UNFICYP and the relevant Technical Committee for his release.

The Greek Cypriot was arrested while gathering wild herbs near the buffer zone in the Gerolakkos area. The Republic of Cyprus is making efforts for his immediate release.
