Relief Efforts Continue for Fire Victims in Limassol

Government services continue relief efforts for fire victims in the Limassol area, unaffected by the August 15 holiday, according to the Commissioner for the Development of Mountain Communities, Charalambos Christofinas.

The payment of lump sums to those who lost their primary residence is almost complete, with a few exceptions due to absences or pending documents.

According to ETEK estimates, approximately 300 houses were damaged and 100 were completely destroyed. Compensation for damaged cars has exceeded €1 million, covering 50-60% of cases.
