Damage Assessment Continues After Cyprus Fires

The assessment of damages caused by the deadly fires continues. A team from the Ministry of Interior is visiting Kyvides and Agios Amvrosios today, and Vouni tomorrow.

A meeting started in Pachna with the community leaders of the affected area, regarding the Environment Department's plan for the removal of burnt materials, which is expected to begin tomorrow.

Commissioner of Mountainous Areas Charalambos Christofinas stated that a team will begin mapping and planning for flood control projects. Officials from the Ministry of Agriculture will begin recording agricultural machinery and equipment.
