According to a report in the Turkish Cypriot newspaper Ozgur, the 5 Greek Cypriots detained in the occupied territories had crossed hundreds of times since the beginning of the year. The camera system at the Strovilia checkpoint has been out of service for 4 months.

On July 19, the 5 Greek Cypriots visited property belonging to one of them, where 75 houses have been built. The 'police' arrested them after a complaint was filed.

In the 'district court' of Trikomo, the three Greek Cypriots accused of trespassing and causing disturbance were not detained, and the 'prosecution' did not submit a request for their detention.

In the 'military court', the 'prosecution' presented three witnesses. The defense challenged the attempt to present the man who was not recorded in the data control system as a deliberate act.

The pseudo-state 'police officer' admitted that if the employee had seen better, he could have identified that there were 5 people in the car. He also confirmed that the cameras have not been working since April due to works by the Municipality of Famagusta.

According to Ozgur, the man accused of not giving his ID has crossed into the occupied territories 325 times in the last 3 years.
