Road Transport Department Calls for Takata Airbag Replacement Appointments

The Road Transport Department is calling on vehicle owners who have not yet replaced their defective Takata airbags to arrange an appointment.

The deadline for replacement is October 3, 2025. Failure to comply will result in the suspension of the vehicle's roadworthiness certificate.

Furthermore, instructions have been sent to owners of six Citroën vehicles due to the Takata airbags. The roadworthiness certificate of BMW vehicles has also been revoked.

The company Charalambos Pilakoutas received instructions from the manufacturer that vehicles manufactured between January 1, 2006 and December 31, 2007 must be immobilized immediately.

Vehicle owners are advised to contact the manufacturer's distributor for instructions.
