TOM Paphos: Hundreds of New Dates for Driving Tests

More than 500 dates for driving license exams will be available at TOM Paphos starting next Wednesday. This initiative by the Ministry of Transport aims to address accumulated problems in the Paphos district.

The Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, Alexis Vafeadis, announced that 250 new dates for driving tests will open for the months of August and September, while another 250 will follow for October and November.

In addition, in September, two hourly employees of the department will be trained to take on the duties of examiners. Paphos MP Chrysanthos Savvidis also raised the need for the immediate recruitment of four permanent technicians at the Department of Road Transport.

Road issues were also discussed at the meeting, such as the Paphos-Polis Chrysochous road, for which the Minister assured that the procedures are progressing normally, and the Tombs of the Kings-Coral Bay road, with the project announcement expected in the first half of 2026.
