TOM Issues Warning About Dangerous Vehicle and Motorcycle Parts

The Department of Road Transport (TOM) has issued a warning regarding dangerous parts in vehicles and motorcycles. The information comes from the Consumer Protection Service and is based on data from the European Union's (EU) rapid alert system Safety Gate.
Manufacturers, representatives, distributors, importers, and sellers are urged to inform TOM if they have these products on the market in the Republic of Cyprus and to take steps to recall them.
Consumers who own these vehicles or motorcycles are advised to contact the manufacturer or representative for instructions. For parts, it is recommended to stop using them and return them to the point of purchase, informing the seller.
In case of refusal to comply by suppliers, consumers can submit a complaint to the Consumer Protection Service. For more information, consumers can contact the Department of Road Transport by phone at 22600500 or by email at [email protected].
