Three Hierarchs 2026: Decisions and Circular for Schools

On January 30, 2026, the feast day of the Three Hierarchs, schools will follow a special program, according to a circular from the Ministry of Education.

As mentioned, the celebration of the Three Hierarchs is no longer a school holiday. Students will participate in a church service, if decided by the school unit, or attend a two-hour tribute to the Saints.

The Minister of Education and Religious Affairs, Sofia Zacharaki, informs that in primary and secondary education school units, a church service and festive events lasting at least two hours will take place.
