Christoforos Theofanous: Swimming for "Miracle Babies" in Nicosia

The Miracle Babies Association is organizing an event in Nicosia to celebrate 10 years of service to premature babies and their families. The protagonist will be Christoforos Theofanous, a young ultra-marathon swimmer who was born prematurely.
On September 27, 2025, Theofanous will swim 28 kilometers in 10 hours at the Nicosia Olympic Swimming Pool, symbolizing the 28 weeks of his premature birth and the Association's 10 years of service.
The event will include: Christoforos Theofanous' race (08:00-18:00), a relay race of love by veteran swimmers (09:00-12:00), a charity swimming day with children from naval clubs (18:00-19:00) and a speech by Christoforos Theofanous (19:00-19:30).
The event is under the auspices of the Cyprus Sports Organisation (KOA) and is supported by the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education, Sports & Youth and the Cyprus Swimming Federation (KOEK).
