Targeted Support for Fire Victims in Limassol by Deputy Ministry of Welfare
The Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare continues to provide targeted support to residents of areas affected by the fires in the Limassol District. Teams with officials from the Social Welfare Services have been formed to address individual needs.
A statement from the Deputy Ministry mentions a meeting between the Deputy Minister of Social Welfare, Marilena Evaggelou, and stakeholders, including the Commissioner for the Development of Mountain Communities, Charalambos Christofinas, and the President of the Union of Communities of Limassol, Lefteris Perikli.
The Social Welfare Services have already assisted 87 individuals (32 families), securing housing for 20 of them and providing financial assistance to 18 to cover immediate needs. Support will continue to address both urgent and future needs.
The Social Welfare Services are collaborating with Civil Defense, the Ministry of Health, and other agencies to provide immediate support and guidance.
