Cyprus: Technical Gymnasium Pilot Program Launched

The Technical Gymnasium is being implemented for the first time on a pilot basis in Cyprus' education system, according to the Minister of Education, Athina Michaelidou.

In a post, Ms. Michaelidou stated that the implementation of the Technical Gymnasium strengthens Technical and Vocational Education.

The program aims to familiarize students early with technical professions and new technologies, providing practical knowledge and skills.

The Minister emphasized that the implementation of this educational policy is necessary due to low participation rates in Technical and Vocational Education and the skills mismatch.
